Live On 5th
A full brand identity for a fictional live music venue | logo, colour system, coasters, merch, posters, and social templates.
Overview
A self-directed brand identity brief for Live On 5th, a live music venue concept in Sandton, Johannesburg built around one line: “Live music, good food, great company.” The job was to design a complete system, not just a logo, that could carry the brand across everything a venue actually needs night to night: coasters, merch, gig posters, and social content.
Concept
The core of the mark is simple: the “I” in LIVE is a microphone on its stand, and the bolts either side of it are the moment the show goes live. Everything else in the system, the monogram, the badge, and the coaster designs, builds out from that one idea.

System
A warm, low-lit palette, midnight, ivory, wine, and antique gold, built to hold up under venue lighting as well as it does on paper, plus a repeating mic-and-bolt pattern used across coasters and backgrounds.

Applications
The system extends across the things a venue actually hands out and hangs up, coasters at the bar, tour merch, and a gig poster system built on one consistent grid so a new poster can go up every week without starting from scratch.

Result
A full brand system, from the logo down to a single bar coaster, built to run a real venue’s calendar, not just sit in a style guide.
